Tall shifter arms?

I have a hurst shifter assembly (3 speed manual) going in my 81' it was a factory 4 speed truck so everything is still in factory positions. I'm planning on building a floor console that wraps over my bench seat and the current shifter arm is almost resting on the top of the seat. I haven't be able to find a tall hurst arm that will work. I need at least 5-6" taller than stock. Not sure if a straight arm will work or not but if I can find anything I'll probably try and build one. Counting on the rat rodder guys out there for some tips.
