Engine mount questions

I'm replacing the engine in my '67 after I pressure wash and clean up the frame and suspension.

So my question is, is it easier to remove the frame mounts as pictured and bolt them to the new engine mounts first; or leave them in place and just try to line up each bolt to the engine mount to the stands when going back in?
