Brake pedal spring re-install

Ok, I’m now sure I should have re-installed my brake pedal before the steering column but I didn’t.

I have the pedal re-installed but could really use some pointers on how to get the spring attached to the tab on the firewall.

Seems there should be a tool with a notch in it to hold that spring loop, maybe I need to make one.

I can get a screwdriver in there and push the loop almost into place but no way to have enough hands and room to make it catch.

First post from phone, hopefully it works.

Any help is appreciated
