i ran into that with my truck,the coil spring trucks,it seems to me had the shorter hose and the leaf spring trucks got the long one or maybe i have it backwards?i do remember that differance with the length and the reason why.the hose from my Napa store for the rear was right,once we knew why the 2 different hoses but they were no help on the front hoses.
