Annual Check-list?

Hi all,

I changed the oil and filled the tank on the '69 C-20 last week to put it away for the winter. Is there a checklist that anyone uses of things to look at prior to putting it back on the road next spring? I'll get it on the lift and check the brakes at a minimum.

While I'm on that topic, the previous owner always had it serviced annually at the dealer. He mentioned the need to pull the rear axles to check the brakes. Is that true?? Most of my experience is with newer stuff or older British cars, so that's a foreign concept to me.

Insight on the rear brake question as well as other things to inspect on these trucks would be appreciated!
