Doors don't close right...
Both the doors on my '79 won't close unless I slam them *REALLY* hard...that can't possibly be good for them. What do I need to adjust in order to fix them? I remember seeing a thread about this a while ago, but of course I can't search for it...

Probally two things that are wrong with it -- The strikers and the hinges.
Strikers are easy to adjust, just loosen them up, and move them around as needed Hinges will be worn out, and will need to be replaced. If I remember correctly they cannot easily be rebuilt...

New strikers are about 8 or 9 dollars last time I checked. Can be had at local parts stores.

On my strikers I used a piece of rubber hose. If you lived close I would help with your doors for free. And that goes for the people that live Arizona too. Matt

On the striker I removed the big washer and put on a piece of ( I think ) 5/8 heater hose about 1 inch long. Now I got to say this I am very che ( thrifty ) I make what I have work. And I work around car all day I get things done, to redo my own truck and replace every thing would get very costly and it adds up quick so any thing to save a buck or 2 or 3. Matt
