Re: Honest opinion on seats

Very nice. Those look like the seats in my '98 Chevy K2500. I like the look and the best of both worlds.

1999 Silverado to present...The center jump seat is very uncomfortable. The 88-98 Silverado seat is basically the same with the exception of the seatbelts are not integrated into the seat and the 88-98 is a true bench seat with bucket backs and flip down console. I have the seat pictured in both my 1500 and my 2500HD

Re: Honest opinion on seats

Honestly, you need to sit in the racing seat before you judge; some of them are VERY comfortable, they're designed to sit in for a while, not just drag-racing, but for other types too, which usually you're in the car for a while.

You could upgrade to a more modern seat; from a Minivan, an RV, or newer silverado. You're just going to have to try them all out, really. As far as "looks" go, you can always reupholster the 'lazy-boy' seat you have in there with a more modern fabric.

These particular seats were from a 2006 silverado. They are very comfy. I would not know about the center seat, only my son would and he has never complained, but he is only five, and sits in a car seat on top of that. I like the center console, makes a nice armrest, and quite a bit of storage room inside which is something these trucks do not have a lot of.

Cool Re: Honest opinion on seats

It,s your bag man, hmmm... If I HAD to chose between the two I'd pick the racers. But I like the bench with a longer seat belt in the middle for my sweetheart and I. Seems to be eisier to keep clean to(I'm lazy). But I am also a big guy at just over 300 and the factory seats have a tendency to wear out under that massive "left-cheek", so maybe not a factory seat frame but an aftermarket or salvage swap may be the deal. Either way it looks like a cool ride to me.

Re: Honest opinion on seats

These are 2001 silverado six way electric, seat belt in seat, very comfortable and seem to fit perfect. My plan is to put a center console with a cable shifter. I'm just going to carry the dash lines all the way back.
