if your gonna use the 86 box, why not just go ahead and use the 86 column?
Then you won't have to worry about cutting shafts and using u-joints. Just collapse the 86 column by drilling out the two plastic retainers and move to the desired length. The hardest part about the newer column is modifying the column/bracket under the dash. All it takes is knocking off the 3 or 4 weld-nuts and moving them to match the holes on your factory bracket. check this site out: http://persh.org/Pickup/steering.htm |
