My watts link setup...what do you think?

This my 67 longbed setup. The pictures are when its layed out, the bars are parallel at ride height though. any feedback? besides the crappy tack welds lol.

those bushings are stronger and firmer than what you'll find in a stock leaf spring so I think it'll do just fine.

Sounds like you got the important part about the bars parallel to each other and the ground at ride height.
Some will tell you that it is better to have the center pivot mounted to the frame and the bars to the axle and it is but I have done several similar to your set-up and they all worked out ok. My old shop truck was a 1ton dually that I ran a watts on and used it to tow like nobody's business and it's still in service.

Went to a new home in the bay area to a guy who "had to have it". I've since moved on to another early model C10 that will be surfacing in 09 if all goes well.

What's the depth of the KP piece- i.e; how far past the diff cover does it protrude?

Easy way to mount it.

It looks good. A little far from the axle for my taste visually, but it should work great.

It's was designed to be snug as you can get it to the diff cover, and sticks out past it appx 2.0 - 2.5 inches.

fyi, on my 2wd blazer i had to mod the crossmember between the rear and the gas tank. i have the kp watts.

Blazers have a different crossmember location behind the axle than the trucks, and we designed it to work on the truck chassis. We didn't have a blazer to test it on, and I appericate your helpful information. I will not that when working with early model blazer owners.

Side note- how do these perform on an uneven surface, i.e; entering a driveway at an angle? That was the only time my old panhard setup would rub.

yeah it is a little far from the diff cover, but if i ever need to take it off it will be easy to get too haha

No pictures, but it looks just like the KP that was posted. Where would the panhard rub? I've had no problems with mine except for the unforeseen crossmember issue. Its never rubbed on anything and I've scraped just about everything else at one time or another when I'm too low for the conditions.

With the 20x10s out back, when entering a driveway at an angle, the tires would rub on the inside of the tubs just slightly. I was just wondering if it would get in any kind of bind when the axle is articulating like that, or keep the axle relatively straight.

I get zero side to side movement between all the way aired up and no air at all. I don't think it moves at all.
