fixing the dash where the radio is
does anyone have a good solution for fixing the dash of my 68 pickup where someone butchered the dash to put in an aftermarket radio. I would like to put it back to original. Maybe some sort of plate to make it look original ??

Re: fixing the dash where the radio is
Welcome to the site from still sunny and warm Arizona! It is January right?
Here is what I did. I made a new plate and installed it over the old cut up hole the PO made! Looks OK, I think. I used high-quality 3M double sided tape to hold it in place as I didn't want a bunch of goofy looking screws holding it in! Been there for almost a year and still holding. Don

Re: fixing the dash where the radio is
I think you got this in the wrong forum, but I will take a shot. You could have a stock cut out welded back in, OR you could go with a cover plate. There is a guy selling the in the 67-72 parts forum. I just can't remember his screen name right now.
