The tilt column is the way to go for more than just a tight fitting tummy.
The reason I changed mine was because of the angle. With the slightly smaller billet wheel I installed the wheel blocked my view of the gauges, and was just at the wrong angle to be comfortable. By adding the tilt I could adjust to a more comfortable driving angle and be able to see my gauges too. Besides, I wanted my truck to have all the factory options I could put in it.
