Dynomat?
Has anybody Dynomatted (or a cheaper alternative) their truck? Im going to order about 70sq feet of sound deadening material (From www.b-quiet.com(Brownbread)). I was planning on the entire back wall from the bench down, the entire floor, what I can get of the firewall, and the doors.
Has anyone else done this yet? I need to get the rattling down from my stereo and I want to quiet out the drone from my turndown. ![]() Im also going to re-weatherstrip the doors and everything to have a ultra-quiet cab. |

Dynamat is great stuff, pricey, but great. You will notice the difference, especially in the doors. Pretty much everywhere is good.
![]() When you put it up, make sure you thoroughly clean the surfaces you are going to cover, better for adhesion. Good luck! ![]() ![]() |

If you want to shell out the extra cash for the foil-backed stuff, it works great on the firewall and floor to keep out heat.

How thick is this material, and how do you install it?

I hae brownbread & it works great, and is much cheaper than dynamat. there are many ways to apply it too. The most common and cost effective way is in 3" squares installed in a "checkerboard" pattern. I asked a world winning SPL champion, that was how he told me to do it.

I've used the spray on liner and that worked really good. Bought mine from Crutchfield, I think it was made by Rockford Fosgate. I don't know if they still carry it, that was about 6 or 7 years ago.

How many feet would it take to do the whole cab (everything) and doors. Does it make it pretty quiet inside? I am sure it would have to make a big difference right?
