Since this thread has seemed to want to run off topic, I thought I'd jump back in & take it a bit further off.

You CAN find old '67 - 72 stuff in lotsa places around the country, but ONLY in North Arkansas can you find fish like this. This is my son, & a nice rainbow he caught about a quarter mile upriver toward the dam from Gene's Trout dock. Catch & Release area, so the fish is still in the North Fork River today:
That's a beautiful rainbow. I didn't see or catch anything near that size on our trip. I caught some decent rainbows, but nothing to brag about. I did catch one brown that was a little over 2 pounds, but he didn't meet the new length requirements of 24".

Kinda back on topic of trucks... Is there a local truck/tractor pull around the Mountain Home area? I ask because we made a Wally World run on a Friday evening for more fishing supplies and we saw no less than 8-10 60-72 Chevy trucks on trailers headed somewhere and they were all setup for pulling.

Re: Did I find the Elephant Graveyard ????

The only truck / tractor pull I know of around here for sure is at the Baxter County Fair - usually early-to-mid September every year.

There's always some way-SERIOUS muscle '67-72's there for that.

Don't know where the ones you saw were headed.
