Good eye...yes, I'm running roller rockers and a stud girdle, so the stock height valve covers won't clear unless I run a spacer...or, a set of fabricated tall valve covers, but those are way too pricey.

Thanks! I have a total of $3K into it...I spent several years before the build up trading and swapping parts, and buying other people's used stuff.

Re: Finally Finished my 462ci Build

After a few parts arrived after the New Year, the serpentine system is complete. I also was able to sneak in some time between family comittments to tack together my 3-inch downpipe that snakes around the frame on the passenger side...

Ok Im picking up a 65 c10 this weekend. I am a Pontiac guy at heart. I have a Pro Street 70 bird in the garage as well as a few other Pontiacs. I was thinking about putting a Pontiac engine in the truck. Was it a hard thing to do?

It wasn't very difficult. Just kind of plan out how you want to do the block-to-frame mount, and you should be good to go. Let me know if you have any questions. Actually, my buddy, who I'm partners with in the blown Pontiac Nostalgia Funny Car runs a 455 Pontiac in his '68 C-30.

I'm all about that Pontiac in there, as it's an odd thing to do, much like my Olds. I guess "odd" is kind of my thing...

Re: Finally Finished my 462ci Build

Well I have a 455 bare block here and a few extra parts in storage. Maybe I will give it the old effort.

Here is a video of my 70 Firebird

Re: Finally Finished my 462ci Build

Very cool! That's how I ended up putting the Pontiac in my truck...I had a block, crank and a few other things laying around.

Here's my blown Pontiac AA/F Altered - soon to be nostalgia funny car:

Re: Finally Finished my 462ci Build

great! I love this kinda stuff. I've got a 41 chevy 2door sedan I'm going to put a poncho 400 in. Fiberglass fenders, just under 3000lbs and over 400foot pounds. Should be nice.

cool truck!
