Re: Long Project: Orange Julius
Make sure you look it over very carefully when it's delivered. Mine got banged up in a couple places, and didn't realize it until it was too late. Of course, it was also not a nice inclosed trailer like that one.

wow... I feel like a stranger to this place anymore. She made it to her first outing today and I think it went well. I got alot of good comments on it, and I CANNOT wait until she is done! Here are some pics.

Sweet! So you got it home delivered all safe and sound?! Glad to see you took it to a show. Can't wait to take mine to one now that it's running again! Looks like there were some other sweet trucks there too!

Re: Long Project: Orange Julius
Ive been working on getting the gauge cluster working. I bought the brushed version of NoLimit's aluminum cluster and a set of AutoMeter gauges
Sooo, out with the old... ![]() In with the new! ![]() ![]() Now all the gauges have small filament bulbs that needed power, so I made this little power distribution block and one for the grounds ![]() OOOOOHHHHH boy! wire spaghetti, YAY! ![]() Then I picked up some yellow LEDs for turn signal indicators and a blue one for my high beam indicator. ![]() Still have yet to get these hooked up, Hopefully I can get them on and going before I leave for my trip next month. Enjoy! |

Re: Long Project: Orange Julius
Got bored the other day and decided to draw up some ideas for door panels. I think Im pretty decided on the bottom right design. I tried to use some of the lines of the truck in the design. Anyone guess what they are???
![]() The panel will run from the top of the OEM panel all the way to the floor. The insert in the middle will be a "double stitched diamond" pattern to match the insert in the seat. Down at the bottom left of the panel will be speakers and then covered with an acoustic fabric so the sound wont be affected. I cant decide what I want to do with the spot below the line on the bottom. Then the rest of the panel will be a high quality vinyl or leather(just depends on what I chose when that day comes) Just to the right of the right of the panel is a cutaway or profile shot of it. You can kinda see I incorporated an armrest/door pull just right below the insert. Then some brushed aluminum hardware to finish it off |

Re: Long Project: Orange Julius
I am pretty new to the forum and saw your thread Orange Julius......and must say that is one beautiful truck, You and your dad make one killer build team! I have a 69 that I am going to start on soon and was kicking around the orange color for it but after seeing your paint color I know for sure it will be an orange color now! lol
I know all to well deployments can suck(Twice myself) when you have to leave family and friends behind but I am thankful for your service ![]() |
