Re: LMC Cowl Seal garbage

yes it was a hard 90. I had it hanging on a hook in the garage for a year so its relaxed for sure. so your saying pull it away from the cowl to allow more gap to the cowl to make it layover easier?

Matt

Re: LMC Cowl Seal garbage

I bought a "GM" one last year. Big difference over the repop one I had (can't remember where I got the repop one.) Sucks you can't get them anymore, I also got a set of GM hinges too

Re: LMC Cowl Seal garbage

After reading this thread it got me thinking and looking at mine. I have no hood on at this time but I also had put a new one from Truck shop/LMC can't remember who It was bought from and it also sticks up and doesn't fold down. I want No Surprises down the road So I picked up a "NOS one today GM stickers and all cost me only $20.00"

I bought it here locally at Vintage Chevy Trucks today, one of the last three he had in stock. I was pretty close to not getting it because he was calling around trying to see if he could get more first before he sold it to me. He Found out he couldnt get more so he really didn't want to sell it anymore but then sold it to me and pulled what he had off the shelf to keep for his personal use. After reading this thread I just had to get one of these after seeing all the trouble people were having with the repops, and I didn't want any trouble down the line when I go to put my hood on...
