Re: Opinions on a Billet Specialties wheel please?

I have a lot of billet wheels & Billet Specialties are a quality wheel.

I have to agree with the gray center idea.
Especially on orange, my buddy just sold a orange 72 stepper with chrome wheels & he always wanted gray centered wheels to offset the bright orange paint.
Also, with a shop logo & you wanting a nostalgic look I say gray centers.

Re: Opinions on a Billet Specialties wheel please?

I've had a few sets of billet specialties wheels. They make a great product! However, I got sick of polishing them. The grey centers might take care of that..

Same here. I have had 3 sets of Billet Specialties and two sets of Intros. They all look so good when they come out of the box but its a ton of work keeping them that way. My next set will have some sort of painted or matt finished centers.

Hey Nate, do those wheels you have also come in a matte/brushed aluminum type of finish? Ive seen a very similar wheel to yours and am trying to find out who makes them. Sorry to pillage the thread. Back on topic, I think the gray will look great with the orange, too.

Actually... no, they don't. I know guys with a lot of pull that have even tried to get BS to do a grey center Vintec, with little luck. I know Boris (way2lo2) actually had a set on an early Impala but he had them powdercoated after receiving them from BS if I recall correctly.

Post up a pic of the wheel and we'll see if we can help you identify it.

Re: Opinions on a Billet Specialties wheel please?

They may not be exactly like Nate's Vintecs or brushed as you mentioned, but Billet Specialties does offer a wheel that's really close - with a gray center. They're called the 'Legacy' and 'Legacy 2' I like the brushed face wheels too though. It would be a sharp looking wheel. (Brushed Vintec)

Wicked wheels might I add ..
