I installed a complete Rad, AC cond and fans out of a 2010 SS Camaro.
Didn't want any issues so I went this route.

Captainfab I haven't put a ton of miles on it yet but so far around town it has been getting around 18. I hope to do a long run on teh highway soon to see what it can really do. The TPI really brought the 283 to life and the T5 makes it fun to drive...but that hurts the mileage I am sure.

The strange thing is that if I put my foot to the floor it spits for a bit and then the pressure comes back and it goes like crazy but goes back down. When it is cold it runs perfect. I have started running my return line back to the tank hoping that this takes care of the issue.
I have an aluminum tank in the rear with a dedicated return line that keeps teh return fuel away from the pick up. Captainfab is right on with his comments.

Re: Induction upgrade What do you think

I played with TPI for more than a few years. I've ALWAYS loved how they look, and on a street DRIVEN engine they perform GREAT. The TPI design promotes lots of low and mid range torque (exactly what you want on a street engine) and diagnosis and repair is very simple.

I shudder at how many of these setups got tossed in the trashcan over the years.

I’m still keeping my eye open for a 305/350 TPI w/ 700R4 complete in a car. I think it would make a great budget combination in my son’s ’65 C10 we’re building. Not to mention with a little tuning you can knock down some really good milege numbers.
