Re: From Mine to Hers Build

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.... Truck is back from paint prison!!!!!!!
So I am still lacking a few parts ( Hood, fenders, tailgate ) but should have those back soon too.
So I can finally start with the engine, and trans install and get some kind of forward progress going.

Re: From Mine to Hers Build

Well I started on the "ball joint challenge" Which from what I have read is a pain in the a** to do the uppers due to the factory rivets. But with a nice grinder cut wheel and a punch it wasn't too bad. Also bought new brake lines for the front (which have a diffrent size fitting than stock for some reason) I went through all the brake lines that the parts store had and this was the only one that matched up besides that. Hmmmmm...... also got my fuel cell in. Not sure where I'm mounting it yet.

Re: From Mine to Hers Build

Well the motor is in! But I still have to complete the ole' take it out, put it back in and etc. I am fabbing up some solid mounts and I am trying to get it done this week. I found a solid mount kit with cpp but its $150 shipped, so forget that! Here are a few pics.

Gracias... Hoping for it to look better!

Well I do have a few updates, Kinda.

Got in my new radiator, and a fan assembly that I stumbled upon.
Also I finally got my motor mounts fabbed up along with my hand made trans crossmember. Still have a little welding to do but just about there. Hopefully I will have some exhaust fumes in about a week. Really need some motivation right now, and I'm sure that would help out a bunch!

Re: From Mine to Hers Build

Well I have a small update, but yet kinda a big update. I GOT IT STARTED!!! lol, finally got to hear her run. Sounds like a monster. Should have a video by tomm. Working on some timing issues and also trying to figure out what I'm going to do about a shear'd rear end pin bolt that has been haunting me for a few days.

Re: From Mine to Hers Build

Hello all! Been getting some small things done. Currently trying to figure out how the hell to install my door glass. Trying to figure out the order in which all of the components get installed. Also no luck on getting the video of the motor up and running due to damage to the starter gear. (thinking I needed a shim or two on there.)
