do those hinges hold the hood up, or do you need a prop rod

Stock (for the CLK) there is a small shock on each hinge. You can see the small ball mounts on the upper and lower part of the hinges. As for this application, you'd have to ask Raguemoe what worked for him. John

So it seems the consensus is trailer fenders or no inner fenders. Is the any other options people are using?

I am thinking of using the race tubs to fill areas that I will cut out for tire clearance. Either that or going to the junk yard and getting some spare fender wells and and piece them in. If I decide to use the full race tubs I was thinking of cutting and pulling in the center to make them look better and free up some unused space in the tire well. I like the idea of a enclosed look,no dirt water flying up into the engine compartment. I think the only reason people use the trailer fenders because its the easiest .

i've got a question, you guys running a 20" front wheel and just a bolt in bag setup, would the tire touch the stock inner fender before the front was fully aired out??

Don't forget.... they look clean when installed (*if done properly).

well ****.. how much drop will i be losing by keeping them in there, and whats the easiest thing to do, take em out and weld in some trailer fenders??

The easiest thing to do is take them out & stop there (the hard part is finishing the job).

I like sectioned/raised stock wells best but that's a bunch o' work. The trailer fenders would be next; & then race style wheel tubs.

what are the real draw backs to not having the fender wells.. this truck wont see much rain ect.. but want to keep a clean-shaved look under the hood, and am unsure if not having inner fenders will mess that up
