Re: Lifted 2wd or 4x4
Not exactly. They're not allowed to stick out AT ALL. My truck got cited for not having mud flaps, the bumpers were too high, headlight and tail light height, the tires stuck out, and it was "too loud." They couldn't prove the noise pollution thing, and the headlight and tail light height were actually legal. But I did have to put the flares and mud flaps on.

Re: Lifted 2wd or 4x4
Well damn that blows!!! I do have a question though I'm trying to lift a c10 I know the k10 is the 4wd version but I shouldn't have an issue using a lift kit for a k10 on a c10 right? Or am I wrong?

Re: Lifted 2wd or 4x4
Yes you will major problems. The suspension is completely different between a c10 and a k10. I know they lift 2wd's in California, but I have now knoledge on how it is accomplished. K10 has leafs and an axle in the front, C10 control arms spindles and springs.

Re: Lifted 2wd or 4x4
those that live in the desert dont really need 4 wheel drive, a good two wheel drive can be a blast .

Yeah I'm not a big fan of low rider trucks, especially with this front end

Well I mean we have certain inspection laws here in Texas as well, but as far as I know we dont have anything like that, there's a lot of trucks in Texas that have the tires that stick out.

Re: Lifted 2wd or 4x4
Exactly. The Bushwackers cover 3", so they're right at the legal limit. Depending on your GVW, your bumpers can only be so high from the ground too. Police love that one. They're not afraid to whip out the tape measure. I'm lucky mine is at exactly the legal limit the way it sits. I really want to stuff some narrow 42's, but I'd be pushing my luck.

Re: Lifted 2wd or 4x4
Well I won't lie that does kind of suck! I'm going to put a link here in my reply go check them out most of these trucks that they do, are actually driving the streets believe it or not but there is one that they did isn't street legal, but it's sweet looking.
Here's the link for you guys! http://bncoffroad.com/
