Always wondered how the military decides to retire a vehicle. The mechanics could keep that thing in service, pretty much indefinitely if they wanted to. If they weren't required to get new vehicles at some point. I mean if its just a base truck, why even spend the money on something new? Rebuild kits for the engine and trans are cheap. A new truck, not so much. Anyone have any insight into this?
