Re: What's your winter plans?

Hoping to 'finally' get the rear axle in the disel fixed. Would like to get the carb done on the 77. But most likely I'll work on the 16 year tractor project, if I can get it running I can make some room in the garage for truck stuff.

Re: What's your winter plans?

been looking for a place to store/work on my trucks, as we will only have two spots this winter, and they handed notices again,to everyone, not to work on cars in laneway,
may have found a barn and yard
park the 79 work on the carb
keep the 78 for bad storms
(work on radio, drivers side running board, tilt)
the other 79 with plow ,gona use it to plow the friends yard, seems his neighbour with tractor moved

Re: What's your winter plans?

Re-paint my truck myself. Doing the rust oleum job, but hvlp spraying it. Doing a bed liner after that but got a really bad DIY job from a PO that I will have to strip off first. Should suck pretty bad but I gots to do it. Love to find a camper shell b4 paint so I can do it with the truck.

Re: What's your winter plans?

I don't know. My wife hasn't told me what they are yet.

The Jimmy will stay in the garage. I hope to get a TH400 SP built and put in. And some work on getting the door glass back in and new rubber all around. A/F meter is on the list too, along with a tune kit for the Holley and some spring tuning.

Re: What's your winter plans?

Gonna work the old horse. Doesn't rain here in the winter and it is just cold enough outside to cut down some trees and pull the stumps. Maybe get those new tires that cost way too much.

Re: What's your winter plans?

Daily driving my 84 LWB and continue to make the small upgrades I have planned after the drop in the next few weeks. We don't get a lot of snow and ice where I live so I'm not worried about driving it at all. Besides what's the use of an office job if I can't work from home when it's too icy to drive in to work?

Do a project thread on that, I'm curious to see how it all goes together. Something I'd like to do too.

Re: What's your winter plans?

I'm in Connecticut, so my winter plans included freezing, shoveling, and *****ing and moaning...And driving my truck when the roads are not covered in the toxic stuff that they spray on the roads that eats fuel and brake lines...
