Re: Aluminum inner fenders?

I basically had the 12 bolt built for 10.0 seconds... But yes, we do know the weak point!

Re: Aluminum inner fenders?

Update! I spoke with Tony at Goodmark and anything we would want in aluminum is possible, but would have to be in a minimum order of 150 pcs!!! He also explained to me that all the new pieces are lighter than stock anyways, and the aluminum would probably end up being heavier than the steel. The replacement inner fenders weigh 11 pounds whereas the stock weighed roughly 20. I think if I can save 18 pounds by changing out to a replacement steel, that is the route I will go! This same weight reduction also applies to fenders, though I didn't ask about weight differences. The way the metal is made is different than they did back in the day, so even though it is thinner, it still possesses the same strength as the original equipment. Thank you Insidious '86 for pointing me in the right direction!

They use thinner gauge metal yes. Is it stronger than the original metal yes. But it flexes more like a cheap coke can. And how it can be heavier? Unless they at going thick with the stuff idk

Well next step is for 150 pieces we could do a group order. It will Prob take a long time but getting an order for 150 alum fenders shouldn't be to hard to sell. Inner fenders may be harder to sell since those Are sometimes ditched for racing or modded for lowered vehicles or most may not see the great point.

Lets see how far we can take this. Cause I'm all in
