Bed Assembly Question
How many cross sills are used to assemble a 1939 short box bed? 2 or 3? I know there should be one towards the front, and one in the middle. Is there a 3rd some where, not counting the rear cross sill under the tailgate?
I've got a basket case 1939 Chevy 1/2 ton short bed truck. I need to order the parts to put the bed back together. All I have are the sides, front panel, and a rusty rear cross sill. Thanks!

Re: Bed Assembly Question
I don't have a truck older than '54 but the LMC catalogs show the holes in the bed layout. The catalog should be on line. Mar-K in Oklahoma sells wood and metal bed parts so they may have the count in their online catalog.

Re: Bed Assembly Question
Thanks. I plan to order the stuff from Mar-K, I just haven't had a chance to call them. Hopefully in the next couple days
