If I remember correctly the '61 has a separate start button does it not. If so, you would turn the key to the right to the "on" position then insert the straightened wire or paper clip to depress the retaining pin. Then turn the key farther to the right to remove the cylinder. This is the opposite direction from the '67-'72's. I would unhook the battery before doing this. Any problems let us know. LockDoc
