These old trucks do a good job.I pulled this load across North Dakota and Montana. New engine and everything else is stock.

That is outstanding for little 1/2 ton. Now I know what mine can do lol. Wish I had pics of my brothers 69 when we put all of the ruffing material for is house in one load in his truck. two full pallets of roofing plus flashing tar paper. 6980 lbs total weight wasn't sitting on the bump stops these things are tanks

I was talking to my brother in law about these trucks a while back. He has an 06 2500 HD. He was saying he thought the new stuff would out work the 67-72's any day of the week. I just laughed. These trucks have lasted 40+ years being worked to death. I don't think any of the newer trucks will last near that long.
