Re: louvered cowl

i saw one of these back in the late 70's early 80's and i think it was a custom one off. that thread in the parts form of the solid fiberglass got the gray matter stirred up. so why not a lovered cowl in steel and you could paint 360o (no rust ). the search did'nt turn up much. 463

Re: louvered cowl

Mar-K sells these panels that are made to weld over the indent on the tailgates... maybe you could weld that in place of the opening on the cowl?

Thumbs up Re: louvered cowl

Measure the vents opening on your cowl and cut the metal to fit, take it have it stamped then weld it in place and have it painted.

It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: louvered cowl

Thats not the design I would go for, plus I was looking for the whole cowl ready to install. Ive been doing enough welding patches, Im about sick of it.

Here is my 2 cents worth, really easy to stick aluminum window screen under the grill, using whatever caulk. In my case, free, and I'm mechanically challenged.
