g.m. vortec 350 crate 2060. jegs
intake 230 jegs one piece rear seal flexplate 60.00 local parts store. carb 250.00 small electric fuel pump 100.00 tops.. 30.00 for the melonized distributor gear to put on your distributor new water pump 40.00 225 hp roller cammed 350 that doesn't need special oil.. doesn't need the 20 minute hail mary break in.., and doesn't leak oil . Better heads, and better power under the curve (under the power peak) better fuel economy.. than the basic 350. with flat tappet cam and 76 cc heads and 8.0 compression (listed as 8.4 but real world comes in at closer to 8.0) vortec is 9.4 |

This is exactly what i'm doing for our 1969 GMC-
Crate Vortec 350- fitech FI and for my 1978 c10- Vortec 350, cam from 1995 f-body- carb or TPI

I'm thinking of buying a new engine also. Will the factory exhaust manifolds work with the vortec engine?

I would do this
http://www.jegs.com/i/Chevrolet-Perf...30283/10002/-1 plus , intake manifold , 600 edelbrock carb , and you will need to get an electric fuel pump , much better engine that the "henchos"
