Re: Which has more value, Chevy or GMC trucks?
I like the gmc more. The grill is more fancy and not plastic. As for the coil springs mine has then but not listed on the spid. So coils are optional for gmc and standerd on chevy. I gess my pickup is all messed up then.

Re: Which has more value, Chevy or GMC trucks?
The coil leaf difference is only in the US. In Canada coils were standard on everything and leaf optional.
Put two otherwise identical trucks side by side but one is a Chev and one a GMC I'd pay 10% more in a heartbeat to get the GMC. I was born and raised with them and there has been one in the family almost my whole life. I'm keeping it that way. I love the GMC grill too. I also like the 67-68 Chev grill and the 71-72 as well. The 69-70 Chev grill is not my favorite. The 67 GMC grill with the stamped GMC in it is my absolute favorite.

Re: Which has more value, Chevy or GMC trucks?
I don’t understand the negative vibes directed towards GMC ? GMC was the backbone of US truck production since the beginning ! The buying experience at a Cadillac Or Buick dealership was what really seperated the two. The business owner who bought his Cadillac didn’t even think about buying a Chevrolet.

Re: Which has more value, Chevy or GMC trucks?
The question is pretty silly considering there is no solid number on any two trucks, let alone one. Chevy/GMC is just another preference same as:
* Pickup - K/5 - Suburban - Panel - Cab & Chassis * Wideside/Fleetside - Fenderside/Stepside * LWB/SWB - 2wd/4wd - 10/20/30 * high trim/basic - 6cyl/8cyl - manual/auto * green - blue - red - yellow - orange... * 67 - 68 - 69 -70 - 71 - 72 * Original - rest mod - era correct - patina - shiney paint - LS Add in the 50 years of varying lives, work involved to get where it is now, how fresh the work is and put an exact number on it.

Re: Which has more value, Chevy or GMC trucks?
I'm always amazed that the Chevy trucks get so much more love. All emotion aside, I find the GMC's far more attractive! Plus, I have an affinity for four headlights! My favorite vehicles that I have owned are my '59 Chevy Apache, my '67 Pontiac Tempest and my '68 GMC. I think that for many it may have to do with an emotional attachment. If there were 5 t I'll mess as many Chevy's as there were GMC's, that means that five times as many people have memories and emotional ties to riding in their father's or grandfathers Chevy, vs. GMC. I've been a member of this forum for years and never was a 67-72 truck fan. I've owned every other Chevrolet/GMC body style, but was never a huge fan of these trucks. I started noticing the GMC slant nose trucks and I got hooked. I love that everyone likes different stuff, though. Itd be boring if all of our trucks were the same!
