Re: Do people realy think these pickups are with this much
Everything goes up. I bought my 66 SS Chevelle in 84 for 375$ my 69 AMX in 77 for a whopping 250$ it's all supply and demand. There are not as many nice ones out there anymore so even the crap ones go up.
I have seen pictures on this site of guys rebuilding trucks that a few years ago were barely parts trucks.

Here's the spid. It got some good options but nothing to make it worth that much. What is the z62 option mean?

Re: Do people realy think these pickups are with this much
This is true. Even though life has gotten in the way of me finishing my Blazer, I'm really glad I have one that's basically sound and that I bought it 12 years ago.

Some folks are just plain cuckoo. My best fishing buddy has a clock that does it every 15 minutes.

Re: Do people realy think these pickups are with this much
Whew! I am feeling better about the truck I picked up now. I had mine running for less than $100. She smokes a bit when you fire her up but it will fire up easily now. Starting to go through the brakes at this point with the hopes to have it road worthy by spring 2020.
I am glad I have mine, it's not as rust free as I would like but with what I am seeing now I may not have done too awfully bad on price given all the "extras" thrown in. |

Re: Do people realy think these pickups are with this much
I guess the way these prices are I could get a lot for the one I bought 2 years ago for $400.00. Factory Highlander the OP robbed some parts off of. Like motor and trans steering sector and column. Rust in doors and fenders and cab corners only. The rest is good. Great restorer.

In 71/72 that would be a Custom Deluxe. They still used the comfort & convenience description used since '67 for the Custom, mid-level trim.

Re: Do people realy think these pickups are with this much
Where I am that asking price wouldn’t even raise an eyebrow. It’s where we are with these trucks at the moment. I would love a second one to drive in the winter months but I can’t find a driver that doesn’t need a ton of work for under 5-6 k.
