Do the GMC fenders which are interchangable with 68 chevys possibly have extra trim holes for the GMC Eyebrow trim? I know the 68 Chevy also had an option for trim, just unclear on clip holes.

That's true. This is a 1970 GMC fender. You can see the trim holes and the fade line where the eyebrow was.

Sorry to bring up such an old thread.
I assume this means that a 67,68 GMC hood would fit on 69-72 GMC fenders if you change the grille top bar.
Is that correct?

Yep. Thought of doing it my self but haven't found a 67 68 gmc parts truck.

Would the hood latch need to change also on the core support?
And I assume the eyebrows would need to be 67 as well?

I would think so. As for the eye brows just remove them or keep them. They would not interfere with it. All thou it would look wired.

Fwiw, we used to have a '70 GMC with '68 Chevy hood and grill on it.

Thank you for the your answer.
I have a 69 GMC in the body shop, almost done and I have a chance to buy an original 67 chevy hood. So if I'm gonna do it I have to do it now before all work is done and I buy the grill.
Can anyone else with experience please help me out with this info?
Just trying to find out for sure if my core support and hood latch on a 1969 GMC truck will work with a 67/68 GMC/Chevy hood?

The hood will fit, but the hood latches are different, if you want to use a 67-68 hood (either gmc or chevy) you will need the the 67-68 gmc top bar and the 67-68 gmc hood latch ( the gmc hood latch curves out to the right side of the gmc grill center bar)

You will have to remove the 69-72 gmc chrome trim from the top of the gmc grill and replace it with the 67-68 top bar.
