I will stay with the open knuckle 44 and just keep the closed knuckle in the back yard for now. Who knows, maybe I will restore it at some point for kicks, but at least I still have it. :-)

I know, it's really hard to make these decisions. What to do when you have your hands on it. I would find the decision to put that rockwell back in a tough one also. But the main thing is, you're capable and can fix stuff. My driving factor in decison making is always parts availability, maintainability and durability... kind of in that order.
