If I were you I would go with a later axle and be happy. Disc with a closed knucke? The only person that's going to know it's a closed knuckle is you. And a few gear heads. These are large production number vehicles anyway.

Yeah, you are right. I know that it isn't a rare vette or bugatti or anything. I guess my OCD just kicked in when I was out staring at it the other day. LOL

I will stay with the open knuckle 44 and just keep the closed knuckle in the back yard for now. Who knows, maybe I will restore it at some point for kicks, but at least I still have it. :-)
