draw backs
1. very noisey engine
2. alot of vibration
3.costly conversion
4. alot of engineering on everything.....
5. heavy, more than a bbc
6. must change ring & pinion gears and preferably O.D. trans
7. must do dynamat on firewall inside and out & floor ( to keep heat & noise level down).
been there dont this........

Bob, I'm sorry if you didn't like yours but I couldn't see how anyone wouldn't like one unless it was a hack job and your engine was worn out. I'll take you for a ride in a few and see what you think then.

I have about 10 - 4bts and 3 6bt's along with tons of parts. I install these in m715 army trucks. In fact i have everything needed to 'bolt" in a 6bt or 4bt in a chevy chassis with all cummins-gm parts( from adapter, starter, engine mounts, lord mounts, chassis mounts & all fasteners needed). Nothing fabed up i,ll sell if anybody wants to do this job correctly.

It looks like it has been a while, so is there any progress on the 71?
