I'm not exactly sure yet where the shifter will end up with this AA bracket. I did take the measurements below of the original TH400 trans adapter that came with the NP205, and the AA bracket seems to be close to the shifter mounting position on the original adapter based on some wobbly measurements I took. I plan on attaching the transfer case to the transmission before I modify anything. I think trimming the bosses on the transmission would be a cleaner and simpler solution than modifying the bracket. I already modified the transmission tail housing, so the transmission is already modified at this point. The bosses would still be usable for their original purpose (whatever that was -- the AA bracket doesn't attach to them) by adding spacers if someone eventually wants to put this transmission back in a GMT400 truck.
