They have adjustable rod ends on both ends so you don't have to unbolt them to adjust. Just crack the jam nut loose and adjust as needed for pinion angle.
Just a note. The axle tubes on these 8.8's are thin and easy to cut thru if you are cutting off the current axle bracket. Ask me how I know.
On a positive side the 8.8 has been bullet proof for over 15 years.
