Re: 65 Fairlane pro-touring build

Still in a holding pattern at the paint palace. My painter had family business to handle and hasn't been back in the shop until recently. He does have the Fairlane up on a two-post lift to (I assume) work on the rocker panels and lower quarters. I've been trying to keep out of his way because every hour I spend at his place jawboning is an hour no work gets done.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I've been doing little odds and ends like painting the steering column and dash bezel. I went ahead and assembled gauges and etc. into the panel so it's pretty much ready to install when the time comes.

I found a nice 50th anniversary Challenger online and bought it to have for trips and cruise ins. It needed a few things, so I've been tinkering with it while I'm waiting for the Fairlane to get back home. I'm also trying to get some drywall guys to come out and scrape off the popcorn ceiling in the shop and replace it with knockdown texture. But dang, those guys don't seem to want to call back. I reckon they don't need to mess with a little job like mine when there are apartments and townhomes going up all around here.
