Re: What did you get done this weekend?
Swap meet...cast stainless steel big block exhaust manifolds...now comes the hard part...grinding sanding and polishing. I just don't like leaky headers and this is going to be a torque motor anyway.

Re: What did you get done this weekend?
Finished up the rebuilt transmission. A rebuilt turbo 350 in my red 68. It was my first time to do this. It was great. If I thought I was messing up I just went to look at my 67 for a reference. Transmission man said 13 quarts in a turbo 350. Put 3 quarts in, start put in reverse. Stop and fill the rest.

Re: What did you get done this weekend?
Continued the disassembling of my truck.
I took out the rear axle and the front suspension, I put up the front cross member in an engine stand which made it really easy to work on.

Re: What did you get done this weekend?
This weekend is a holiday weekend here in the UK with monday as a public holiday. Had some friends and their 2 1/2 year old daughter staying for the weekend so did nothing apart from some serious eating and drinking and chatting, so now I feel like death on a stick!

Re: What did you get done this weekend?
My son's and I got the 383 bolted up on my GMC.
Repaired the poorly installed chassis/body ground wires on the 90 corolla (grounds were bolted to painted metal at assembly plant, imagine that)...amazing how much faster she starts and all the lights are 25% brighter!

Re: What did you get done this weekend?
Finished putting in the cab supports and floors in my K-20................Got the chassis cleaned with the hot water pressure washer, sanded/scraped, washed it again with the washer. Finally got the chassis black I got from a place we buy ag supplies layed on the chassis and under the cab tonight thanks to my dad. He painted the rear half and front half, with the front end sitting up on our heavy steel bench we have here to work on front end loader buckets, I painted the underside of the cab, trans, t-case and frame rails.
Now, get the fire wall cleaned and prep'ed and in color, I can drop the souped up 250 in, put the clip back on it, and paint the rest of the truck

Re: What did you get done this weekend?
I think this thread was started to last weekend, but what the heck.... Here's what I did this weekend. First shot is after 2 days of non stop body work and I had just finished hand sanding the whole truck. The second is sunday night after I finished priming the truck, and the last are monday after she was painted medium metallic blue. I'm pooped.

Re: What did you get done this weekend?
Redneck = nice Blue! Keep us updated on your progress. As for me I just spent money on more parts for my 70. I ordered stainless taillamps, backup assimbalies, and tailgate chains. I also ordered the c/10 emblems, parking lamp, and all side marker assemblies. Next is some nice wood and all the part to do the wood in back. man am I broke.
