I had one guy say that he wanted a truck he didn't have to do ANY work to.. I asked him why he was looking at 37 year old vehicles then..

I bought my 67 GMC for $650, the guy was wantin $800 for it. When I started planning out all of the stuff I wanted to do to it , every one has asked me why I didnt just "get something that I didn't need to work on" and that I was gonna "buy a $300 truck for $650, put $2,000 in it and still wind up with a 2600 truck worth $300 . I replied to them ill bring you $300 and lets see how long it takes to find a RUN AND DRIVE 67 GMC that looks better than my truck. he declined the offer.

I feel your pain I've seen your truck on CL and thought it was a fair price but money is tight all over should of sold it when houses where going crazy i saw a 1968 long bed in Redlands go for 6100.00 it had 396 with a built 700R4 with R12 air condionting and it was nice back in 2005and during the house craving i saw 1967--69 camaros Cancer buckes going for 6500.00 no eng or trans Crazy just wait when mosy of the trucks are old cars are gone Just name your price sucker lol i saw a 1964 ford Ranchro panle come into colton iron metal scrap yard yestorday

my take on this guy; he is/was very interested in your truck. he was at home and thought he may be able to talk you down but after seeing it in person and all the nice parts he realized that was a fair price. he didnt have that kind of bank roll. his next move was to try and save his ego by attempting to knock yours down while at the same time end the inspection.

brush it off and forget about it. let the truck sell itself while you try and figure out the next guy.
