It's a lot easier to run 1/4 line, and a lot less expensive if hardlining the system.

I haven't used the asco valves... so I don't have any input. I have always used the ART valves and have ZERO negative feedback.
PM me a price on said 1/4" ART valves.

Where can I get the correct hardline and fittings?

We've been selling lots of these. Everyone seems to be quite happy with them.

Hey Nate are you talking about the ride-pro valves?

I think he's talking about these:

You can just swap out the fittings, but fittings get spendy fast. If you can order the brick with 1/4 installed, that's half the battle.

The ones in the pic are actually the "Big Red Valves" I believe they are 3/8.

They come from GC valves just as valves 2 way or 4 corner. We sell them in our kits too, but I'm not a site vendor so I can't sell here. Don't want to step on toes

Not to sound stupid but.... What is the problem with 6 valves? Why would this be a issue?

6 valves work if you plumb it right. read this thread.

Re: Arnott valves?

that is one way of setting it up, but if you wire it correctly you can still have independent control of all 4 dumps.

Re: Arnott valves?

So what about the prewired kit with the 6 valve setup that started this whole thread? Would it be setup the same as the KP installation thread?

In the link i posted, there would only be two dump valves.

Re: Arnott valves?

I have no schematic, but it's pretty simple on this one since there is a manifold. The manifold simply has one fill valve, and one dump valve. You will not have the option of a teeter totter switch, because you won't be able to fill valves at the same time you are dumping them. I'm not into that crap so I'm not going to worry about it.

We have 6 valves. One for each corner, one that fills the manifold, and one that dumps the manifold.
Anyway, I'll use an example here, let's say the driver side front. To fill that bag, I have to open the fill the manifold, so the fill valve must open, and the valve for the driver front must open. To dump it you must dump the manifold, and open the same valve. It would work the same for all four corners.

Your hint for the wiring is : Diodes. These will keep electricity from going where you don't want it to and energizing everything when you hit one switch. You could also use relays, but the diodes are simpler - and cheaper.

Here is some information on diodes. They are very useful.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diode

have fun.

Hmmm, I pretty much abandoned it for now, but I might end up running one by the end of the summer. We'll see how my build goes when I get it back from paint. If I do decide to get new valves, I will get that kit. I have so much on my plate right now that replacing parts that I already have isn't very economically feasible.

Which KP thread are you referring to ??

Re: Arnott valves?

nhtc33d, with the six valve setup i am familiar with, you can either raise or lower the vehicle at one time, can't do both. you can raise any bag(s) and then lower any bag(s) because there is only one dump and one fill for all four bags. a six valve setup will work just fine, but an eight will give you more play on bags. it is just depends on preference. hope this helps

Thanks for the diagram, That helps a lot. I want to be able to raise/lower the front and back separately so it sounds like the 6 valve will not be what i am looking for.

Re: Arnott valves?

ummm.. you can raise and lower the front and back separately. You just can't lower the front at the same time you are raising the rear and vice versa.

Re: Arnott valves?

I would love to see a wiring diagram for this. So, for example, if you wanted to dump a bag, you would have to open the bags fill valve and the dump valve at the same time?

i am no wiring expert but this is what i think it should look like. it is a seven switch box. each switch has up and down. hope you understand i tried my best. smashingchuck, hope i'm not hijacking your thread

This is what I'm using. I've had the same set of valves for about 8 years. I've had to replace a couple of o-rings and had to do some re-polishing of one of the shafts after it got a nick in it from a chunk of dirt that built up over time into a "rock." Speed is just fine for my needs.
