I shoot the nova pump. 3 1/2" 12 ga. I hunt ducks and geese in cold wheather and the pumps never seem to mind the cold like the autos.
The dog is a pure bred golden retriever from the gold rush bloodline.

Re: Trucks in the snow.

This is our biggest snow storm in over 50 yrs, so we forget how to act!
These geniuses were out in it yesterday.
The guy on the pedal trike was on our major thoroughfare street, just off I-5. He had the bus & traffic backed up for blocks.
The teenager & his buddies figured out how to snowboard...down the road, hanging on to a rope!

***I'll try to post pics later.

Re: Trucks in the snow.

Nice! I didnt know the autos had troubles in the cold? My old Mossberg 500 has never let me down! I don't hunt, (except to keep starlings and robins out of the fruit trees) but on each side of my farm there are hunt clubs, so all the geese take shelter in my cornfield! Sounds like a nice dog, I love goldens

I like how this turned into a dog thread =] I love dogs, and your lab looks great. My mom just convinced me that she needed another one, so we picked up a Golden Retriever/Standard Poodle mix (AKA golden-doodle) shes 5 months old now and loves the snow

The only time the stepper has seen snow was in Oregon. I doubt it will see much more of it here!

Re: Trucks in the snow.

EEK! 2 hours?!?!?

Mine's been outside through 15+ inches of snow, and 2 ice storms so far this winter! (I'm lucky that nothing came down on her, although, the garage did survive and I got to take out my chainsaw. I should have made my garage doors big enough for my truck!!!) Anyway, I just cleaned her off for the second time...

I'll have to move the truck to someone's nice cozy garage soon...

Maybe even get her running. who wants to pollish my stainless??? I'm imagining that I could do that in front of the TV. If I watched any.

*edit* good thing my body is already shot.

Re: Trucks in the snow.

I'm kinda cheating, this is from last year, only time my trucks seen snow since it left NY in 2002.

I don't think it's going to snow here this year. It's been in the 50s/60s for the past few weeks and it appears it will be for at least another week or two... not normal... should be in the 30s/40s.

I put up with that crap for 18 years, that was 18 too many

I was up there for almost 2 weeks before Christmas. I hit a snow storm in Erie on my way home,. we had another storm that dumped a foot on us, then I had to stay an extra day because we had yet ANOTHER storm that dumped another foot and a half I got to use my dads plow truck though, that was fun
