Re: 1962 Fuel Cell dimensions
Wow, that looks great. Now will the flange actually sit on top of the bottom frame rail or will it be mounted with straps?

Re: 1962 Fuel Cell dimensions
Use JC Whitney either ZX528927T or ZX132950R
I have digital gauges (Dakota) so I can set the Ohms to 0-90 for the fuel sender. all of the fittings are 3/8" - for my ease. Quote:
You can design it any way you want, I just thought that was the cleanest way I have seen it done for installation. Hopefully with the two cross braces (one right in front and one directly to rear) it will cut the frame flex. For my install I am actually removing the rear cross brace and then putting it back a few inches to the rear. I was thinking of welding the brace back in after cutting the rivots, but I may bolt it in so that I can remove it if I have to deal with the tank at a later date. comments?

Re: 1962 Fuel Cell dimensions
Yea, plus shipping. it actually came to $317 I think including shipping.
Your price may vary depending on angles, cuts, etc.

Re: 1962 Fuel Cell dimensions
They can put whatever bolt pattern you want on there I believe... I just chose their standard pattern for the floats I mentioned above. I could have paid as little as about $25.00 plus a bit a shipping... I found it local for $37.00just because I didn't want to wait for it. Pretty simple one-wire float. And I went with Stewart Warner float because I can make my digital dash recognize it and it was cheaper.

Re: 1962 Fuel Cell dimensions
Here are some pics of my progression and the finished install. I still need to get a new cross member for the rear.. it will have to be custom to go across the rails at rear, unless someone knows of one ready made?
cutting away cross member test fitting close up oh yea... rear end shot... had bed off...lol

What's your plans on a Fuel Door? In the Bed? The way I had mine was temporary. Looked crappy too.

No foam cell, it is baffled instead. I am not a big fan of foam cell in a tank where it isn't easily removable when it starts to break down.. We use them in race cars, and your tank has a big enough opening since it is a race cell... in my case, baffling was the better idea. Fuel door will be in bed. I measured and had the fuel filler placed right in the middle of a plank The advantage of the custom build. Where did you get the cross brace for the back? did you make it? I am thinking I will just have to weld one up.

Re: 1962 Fuel Cell dimensions
From the pics, looks like you can move your tank forward and make room to re-locate your original cross member to the back?
or is there a reason you put it back that far?
