Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Here is the score. I found a bed on CL for $750, got the bed, a right side window regulator, AND delivery............$600. Thought that was a good deal!!! The bed is really clean, but the tailgate is an aftermarket so it will be going on CL. The bedside trim is also going to be sold.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
The back is rather simple. Just use the factory spring bolt hole on the trailing arm, then drill holes for the bolts and piping to the top of the airbag. I will take some closer pics and post them for ya. The tank will reside on the driver side under the bed behind the rearend....well, that's the plan for now. The compressors (2 380C Chrome Viairs) will be mounted to the frame, just have not made up my mind yet on that.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Thanks Hart_Rod!!! Hey Nuke1, been checkin out your build too.....SWEET. I agree with you, the rims look great with the trim on the bed. I have already filled the trim holes everywhere else, but it would make a nice change when I want to give my ride a different look in the future!

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
I do have one other question for you, whatever happened to your bike, i am looking for an engine for one. just curious? BTW i know all about wrecking those, been down many times also. Stupidity once and the rest have been by a matter of choice, either hit the car cutting me off or put her down, well the road looks better to me than being under a car!

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Nope. I bought the bed in that condition to move my project forward a month or so. Very little needs to be done to it. Wish I was that fast on the cab!!!!

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Here are some new pics.....cause everyone likes pics. I put the bed on that I bought and put my rim on the back to see how much space I have while running bags and 22X10 rims.....no issues!! There is about 1.5 inches to the fender well and about 1 inch to the lip of the bed. Still need to cut the bumpstops to lower it another 1.5 to 2.5 inches in the back. Yeah...that's a chicken coup in the corner of the lot with a couple of yardbirds in it.
And for all the questions I have read in other threads about gas tanks hanging too low, here is a pic of the Summit tank with the bed on.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Forgot to show some of the detail work that makes these builds take so d@mn long!! Here is the 71 rearend that I bought and had to go through for the 5 lugs.
I sandblasted, preped, and ceramic coated the front calipers.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Memorial Day weekend!! Got some more of the body work done, gettin everything straight on the truck with a little body filler here and there. Tipped the cab on it's back to undercoat the bottom after some major cleaning. Hopefully I will get the bottom coated this week.

Got a little ahead of myself with the pics. Here is one of the bottom of the cab being cleaned, and a pic of the door NAKED!!!
The majority of the cab was stripped down to bare metal.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Still sandblasting, priming, painting, clear coating parts. Compressor went out so I can't powdercoat right now. Hopefully that will be fixed soon and I can start powdercoating this stuff again.
Everything seems to be turning out great!! No runs or fisheyes!

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Wanted to do a mock up, just to see how the truck looks at this point.....wasted time? Nah. It gives you incentive to see what it is looking like after so much work and time.
