No plans to butcher it and presently buffing out the paint to bring a shine to her. I have a plain white bumper for the back which I will install when I get the brackets. Also going to swap out the single exhaust for Langdon split manifolds with a pair of Smithy`s. I am looking for a driver set of hubcaps as I lost one last week and these have been painted.

Personally I say do whatever you want to it, but if you change things like springs and what not keep them all so you can go back to stock and or say you have everything stock.

Nothing worse than seeing a bone stock rig go under the knife or parted out for what ever reason and the owner not thinking and splitting things up and kicking them self later for it.

The reason I say that. My uncle had a completely stock 65 GTO and he took the wheels off and went aftermarket. Later he decided he needed the money and he sadly had to sell it. He lost a bit of money because the purchaser wanted the original wheels. Not original looking wheels, but the original wheels. Go figure huh?

Sold my truck to geezer#99 yesterday as it was time to move on to something slightly different.

Sorry it had to go, but also understand. I would never do well with such a mint original truck. I would get bored very quickly if I couldn't always improve something, which understandably ruins the originality.

A single Holley double pumper looks way cool also, especially with a very small air cleaner. Plus it is a lot less finicky than a dual carb set-up.

Yup I now have this fine old truck in my driveway. It retired to the island just like I did.
Can't drive it anywhere. Everybody wants to buy it. The pipes sing a nice song at 55mph down the highway. Who needs a radio. LOL

That's why I don't have a radio. Mine sings a different tune with a 350, gear drive, and 4 speed, but a 6 with split pipes is music that suits my ears just as well.

Love the photo above with the triple carbs and finned valve cover. Always loved the looks of a finned cover on an inline six.
