My personal experience is the same as SCOTI's advice. To prove that point I have a fully painted frame sitting on it's side in storage right now. It used to be for an '82 C-10 shortbed project. Then I got caught up in the downhill slide we all know as the snowball effect. There it sits, maybe I will do something with it someday but I've since come across another project/DD and it just keeps sitting there, getting buried beneath more parts and dust. It all started as a "ok, we'll lower it, then engine/trans swap, then, etc. But wait, I have this frame that I could clean up and paint, then transfer all the parts/body/etc. over to. Yeah, lets do that."
There is always next year, or at least I keep telling myself that.
