Re: Project "Nether~Storm" 72 swb
Well for an update, I have decided on the paint. Going Flat Rat Rod Black on the out side and Sunrise Red for the interior metal. Black and Grey highlights. Also going to get a set of 17x8 smoothie Wheel Vintique rims, Powdercoated Red. w/Bullet Lugs. Right now Im trying to sell my 91 Fox mustang to fund the rims and help with bagging it. I started working on the tailgate last night... Its pretty rough. but I think I can make it work until I can afford to buy a new one.

Re : Fuel Tank Sealing

That being said , the POR-15 tank linter kit is the best . Most all of them are good these days *but* ~ you must follow the directions precisely ! folks always skip a step , rush things or make substitutions , then they blame the lining kit when the liner falls off in chunks later . I've NEVER had a tank liner fail .

Re: Project "Nether~Storm" 72 swb
I'm leaning towards just cleaning it today and filling it with gas, cause in the near (6 months or so) I am really considering doing a fuel tank relocation. Just need mo Moneyz.

Re: Project "Nether~Storm" 72 swb
Quick update, Got my new headers Friday. They are freakin Awesome! Thanks Fred!
Also got the Tailgate put on... and started cleaning it up... Its a Mess! 10 coats of paint and under about 3 coats of that was stickers in the Chevrolet inserts. Im gonna have to find a better way to strip this paint than using paint stripper. I have applied it 3 times and this is all I have accomplished. FAIL. Also got my self a lil peep mirror when I visited the Summit store in ATL, GA. Its small but perfect for me. I have also decided to wait on the tank until I get my stang sold to just buy a under the bed tank and weld up the side of the cab. Seems kinda pointless to fix something that will just be replaced.

Re: Project "Nether~Storm" 72 swb
the paint stripper will work great on a warm day , if you are using aircraft stripper and a putty knife, now if it is cool it wont work worth a flip !

Re: Project "Nether~Storm" 72 swb
Alright, I finally got the tailgate stripped, not not without a quart of industrial Paint remover, 4 hrs of cursing the morons that painted it 5 million times without cleaning it and scraping with anything I could get my hands on and finally getting a wire wheel for my grinder and giving it hell.
Below is before.... Mid stripping.... after wire wheel... and primer... WOOHOO!!!!! Sorry Im a pic whore and I cant make the pics any smaller...

Re: Project "Nether~Storm" 72 swb
Well I had a Bright idea.... usually not such a good thing. hehe
Seeing as to how I am on such a tight budget these days till I get some stuffs to sell, I desided to get creative. I have put my Dupont Paint up until I can get everything done right and I am making due with some of my other resorces.... Muuwahahahaha I started Plastidipping my truck. And it is turning out quite well Kinda ran out for the moment but its actually looking pretty good, Then, I thought, "Why not go ahead and put on my new 2.5in drop spindles... Yes? I think she is looking pretty sexy

Re: Project "Nether~Storm" 72 swb
The dash looks great ! .
I'm an older Man , a Farm Boy in fact so I'll never ' get ' silly wheels on a truck ~ nor will I ever understand bondoed shut tailgates . (saw one of those last night) I can tell you you're obviously doing a good job and putting in lots of hard work there ~ keep it up .

Re: Free Wheels + Godson = WIN !
O.K. , that's a different kettle of fish .
I'd break any low profile wheels in a day at best , even unloaded because I know that CHEVROLET TRUCKS are the best there is so I drive 'em hard ,much harder than even most V-8 guys . Some times I think Los Angeles is the testing lab for those East Coast potholes I grew up hating ~ there's NO EXCUSE for this but it is so .

My lil one will probably be wanting to buckle her baby doll in next to her as soon as the storm hits the road. we went to the store in the wifes car and the doll was buckles=d in before anyone else was. I feel your pain.
