Re: Vintage truck bed tool boxes
My original thought was to turn them into coolers but the wife said no. She wants a shortbed.

Re: Vintage truck bed tool boxes
Made my own storage box. Not sure if I like the ad for Hastings on there or not but the box came out better than I thought it would.

Re: Vintage truck bed tool boxes
Never seen a 3 Lid before.
A fresh coat of paint and you're in business. I had to replace the locks on mine. After 50 odd years, the old key type was unavailable, and the only key broke in the lock. Now I have CocaCola machine locks.

Re: Vintage truck bed tool boxes
Never saw that brand around here. I've seen boxes designed like that but never seen an opening center. Looks plenty heavy duty. I would never have wanted to use one like that, though. I like a top to be flat and to have more room under it for more use of the full floor. I do like the t-handles

Re: Vintage truck bed tool boxes
Not sure what brand it is , but this box has been with my 70 since EdB got it in 1978. He thought it had been on there since it was almost new.
