Re: Stepside steps brackets?

They are strong.

Originally pickup trucks were "work" vehicles and believe it or not they were only popular with people who needed a Work vehicle. Soccer moms didn't drive them, Very few young people hot rodded them and again believe it or not, riding around in a pickup was not a statement except that you were a blue collar worker. It really wasn't until the mid 70's that the pickup became the foo-foo vehicle that it is now. I remember seeing my dad, who was around 250 lbs stand on the running board of his early 50's truck and pick up a full milk can, swing it into the bed, time after time--day after day. With all that trivia said----Yes, the steps are strong.

Re: Stepside steps brackets?

The tooling to make these brackets is almost done so it will not be much longer,

Re: Stepside steps brackets?

Thanks to the grumpy oldman, I had gotten mine bought and they should be on their way here shortly.

Now to figure out what I want to do for a lower kit. I plan to do the speedway motors rear axles and front disc brake /drop spindle setup to convert it to 5 lug.

Just need to figure out what I need to lower it. I'd like to do a 3.5 to 4.5 front and probably a 5 inch out back. Looks like I have trailing arms and coils as a rear suspension setup.

Re: Stepside steps brackets?

I just bought a 71 stepside and I'm in the same boat. No step brackets. But have step. LMC does sell step and all bolts needed to mount to the truck and the bracket but no brackets.
