Re: 100 Years of Chevy Trucks- Are you a "Legend"?
I'm planning to write to them and see if they have anything planned for the 2018 Hot Rod Power Tour since Chevy Performance is one of the main
sponsors. I'm hoping they have the 100 anniversary truck on display all week. That would be cool. If they do then I know what I will be driving for the 4 HRPT for me.

Re: 100 Years of Chevy Trucks- Are you a "Legend"?
requirements state you must own a chevy truck with over 100k or have bought/leased a new truck.
When you get to the registration info for your truck you have to tell them you bought/leased new at least once... anyway will see what happens. they need a "beyond odometer limits" in the mileage choices. my truck is at 85k indicated (at least 185 or maybe 285k)

Re: 100 Years of Chevy Trucks- Are you a "Legend"?
^ yah, rules is rules.. I've owned a few, bought a couple new, driving a couple now.. all but one made it well over 100k on the clock and that's the one I'm most proud of.. chose it for my submission even though it's listed at 100k due to the range choices on the form..

Re: 100 Years of Chevy Trucks- Are you a "Legend"?
the context of it seems to refer to people as the legends, not the trucks

Here's my story...they got the miles wrong, though. I got my box of goodies yesterday....thought the same thing about the pack of collector cards seeming like a bar of soap. I don't understand why they skipped over the '60-'66 trucks. I was pretty impressed by what they sent!

Re: 100 Years of Chevy Trucks- Are you a "Legend"?
Has anyone checked with their chevy dealer to see if you can even buy the new style grill and tailgate, door emblems? They would probably want a fourtune for them.

Re: 100 Years of Chevy Trucks- Are you a "Legend"?
There’s a thread on here somewhere talking about how GM isl only releasing the emblems and such to people with the correct vin of a 100 anniversary truck.

Re: 100 Years of Chevy Trucks- Are you a "Legend"?
I couldn't miss out, so I went ahead and registered with my '95 Suburban. Al the oldies I've had and that is the only one that qualifies. If it's about the people being legends then they need a place to tell our history, not just about the one truck you register

Re: 100 Years of Chevy Trucks- Are you a "Legend"?
phrases like 'are you a legend?' have you reached legend status?' indicates there's much to do about the owners..
the faqs are also much about the owners of qualifying vehicles.. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q: What is Chevy Truck Legends? A: A community that celebrates owners of Chevy trucks over 100,000 miles or owners who have purchased or leased more than one new Chevy trucks. Q: Who is eligible to join? A: Owners of eligible Chevy trucks over 100,000 miles or owners who have purchased or leased more than one new eligible Chevy trucks In their lifetime. and actually, the qualifications defined there sound more lenient than what's on the cover pages.. this question came up in one of these threads already; Q: Do I have to be the original owner of my 100,000-mile-or-more Chevy truck to become a member of Chevy Truck Legends? A: No, as long as you are the registered owner of an eligible Chevy truck with at least 100,000 miles, you are eligible to join Chevy Truck Legends. it is fairly ambiguous as to who or what exactly is a 'legend' but either way, doesn't seem to take much to join.. and as far as I'm concerned, having owned 6 chevy and gmc trucks, three of them still, they can afford to send me a ball cap and some stickers.. good luck!

Re: 100 Years of Chevy Trucks- Are you a "Legend"?
This has got to be the easiest way to become a "legend" . It's a misuse of the term. But what the heck, you get a free hat. I wonder how many tens of thousands of "legends" there will be out there.

If it makes you feel any better I signed up in October and my hat just came last week. My brother signed up at the same time I did and had his hat 2 weeks before me and his calander came last week. It takes time but it’s a pretty cool little package when it does show up.

Here's my profile:
